Generic Cruise Planning System - DEMONSTRATOR

A generic cruise planning system will facilitate a more efficient and harmonised planning and improved flow of programme information from operators to the Cruise Programme database. Therefore a DEMONSTRATOR of such a Eurofleets generic cruise planning system has been developed. It is based upon an existing system by IMR (Norway) that has been adapted and configured by Ifremer for Eurofleets purposes.

The main aim of the DEMONSTRATOR is to show the features that can be offered by such a cruise planning system. It has been developed only for demonstration and not for operational use. As example, only cruises funded in the framework of the Eurofleets Transnational Access Activities (TNA) have been considered, and the results after the planning processes can be consulted.

This generic cruise planning system, made available for testing, can be considered as a relevant basis for the development of a common and more evolved planning system that might take place in the Eurofleets II successor project.
